OPMs client is part of one of the fastest growing publishers in Europe, with a unique blend of creative freedom and culture found at an independent studio with the financial security of a big publisher.

They are currently seeking a Mission Designer to join development on their latest projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of narrative design, from the initial design phase to the final polish phase.


  • Solid professional games experience as a narrative or mission designer.
  • Good experience with 3D engine game editors.
  • Professional experience working on open world titles.
  • Able to design the story and the lore of a mission, from concept to polish, through the iterative process based on feedback from playtests.
  • Superb communication skills with the ability to work within a team, across disciplines.


  • Experience using Unreal Engine 4 tools and Blueprints.
  • Experience with Articy:Draft.
  • Experience as a writer.
  • Previously shipped at least one title as a narrative or mission designer.
  • Able to provide demonstrable work as a writer and/or narrative designer.


  • Composing narrative design and lore document drafts.
  • Establishing and maintaining the story flow and text database.
  • Design, prototype, iterate on and polish the narrative of the in-game part of the open world including missions, enemy encounters, and other gameplay features.
  • Work together with other designers to ensure that the mission design adds to the overall narrative.
  • Cooperating with environment artists on creating spaces where gameplay flow and visual composition form unforgettable experiences that contribute to the overall narrative.
  • Enable writers to deliver high quality texts.
  • Performing play-testing sessions and gathering feedback and action points to enhance the narrative.
  • Taking part in other play-testing sessions, providing feedback and suggestions to help tune and enhance the narrative of the game.
