Our client is an independent studio that designs, develops and publishes Smartphone and Tablet games.


They operate worldwide on a F2P model, via the acquisition, retention and monetization of a sustainable player base whilst insuring their satisfaction, fun and engagement with the virtual world they have built for them to share with their friends. As the Mobile Test Automation Engineer, you’ll be the go-to person and subject matter expert for all things automation – including designing, maintaining and reporting on a full suite of tests for a variety of games developed within the studio. Your role will also involve communicating with programming teams, helping and guiding them to write code that is better designed to be automatically tested, and liaising with QA teams to learn what tools would help them perform at the highest efficiency.


Key Skills:

  • You have experience planning, performing and reporting on your testing without formal documents or test plans.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are confident spending a lot of time talking to team members, understanding requirements and recommending ways to improve quality.
  • You are confident reporting on the testing you did and didn’t do.
  • You are excited to explore things that you don’t understand and can use your questions, and answers, to design your tests.
  • You have an agile mindset and can adapt quickly to constantly changing situations.
  • You are excited to work with a team practising continuous delivery and understand how testing lives within that process.
  • Liaising with QA Analysts/Testers.

Required Experience:

  • Understanding of at least one professional automated mobile testing software
  • Jenkins/Maven/TeamCity or alternative CI experience
  • Unity Experience and C# programming
  • Mac, Unix and Windows experience
  • Python/Ruby scripting experience
  • Android and iOS development and debugging experience
  • SVN/Perforce/Git experience



  • The ability to list pros/cons of alternative automation test software
  • Experience of developing F2P mobile games and understanding of Live Ops requirements
