OPM’s client are looking for an experienced, talented, and passionate Senior Environment Artist who will be responsible for constructing aesthetically ground-breaking environments that match engrossing and rich gameplay experiences

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong experience in all aspects model creation workflow (Model and texture realistic, modular, hard-surface, and organic set pieces and props for a diverse set of environments with use of all new techniques)
  • Experience on a shipped AAA title
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software packages for 3D modelling, high poly sculpting, and texture painting (Maya, Max, ZBrush, Photoshop, or their equivalents)
  • Substance Painter working skill
  • Experience creating high quality creative/visual aesthetics as well as technical knowledge
  • Ability to adapt fast to a specific art style
  • Capability to adapt with minimum guidance new styles, techniques, and workflows
  • Solid skills in using PBR shaders and normal maps on daily basis
  • Great understanding of colour theory
  • Knowledge of memory and frame budgets
  • Experience creating high quality creative/visual aesthetics as well as technical knowledge
  • Experience creating photorealistic set pieces, props, textures, and materials on next gen console platforms
  • Capacity to show examples of top-notch props and textures made for next gen console games
  • Adept at balancing art quality and performance in the game engine

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generating high quality environment assets and gadgets suitable technically and artistically to project universe
  • Modelling and texturing high poly and low poly environment assets
  • Collaborating with Tech Art on pipeline improvements
  • Maintaining the production and software pipeline and meeting deadlines
  • Delivering R&D projects and pipeline and workflows improvements
  • Bug Fixing and describing R&D case studies in knowledge base
  • Sharing knowledge with less experienced colleagues
  • Occasionally supporting Lead in recruitment projects with HR collaboration

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Organics creations skills
  • Unreal Engine 4 Experience
  • Traditional art skills along with core graphic design competencies (composition and layout, typography, colour and light)
  • Blender working knowledge
