Mid OR Senior Animator – Hybrid – Sweden – Open World Simulation Game

 One Player Missions client is looking for a Mid or Senior Animator to join their team. They have a focus on creating stunning lifelike characters and creatures in open-world environments.

You’ll be responsible for breathing life into the world with realistic animations and behaviours. This role requires expertise in realistic animation styles, experience with animating both large and small creatures and characters, and a deep understanding of animation fundamentals. Quality control for animations is crucial, and you’ll play a significant role in influencing the team’s work.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Deep understanding of animation fundamentals in different styles with an affinity towards realism as demonstrated in your reel
• Proficiency in animating both large and small creatures and characters
• Strong observational skills and knowledge of weight distribution and pacing/timing
• Significant experience in key-framed character animation for humans and creatures
• Proficiency in animation software such as Maya, with knowledge of other packages like Motion Builder being useful
• Experience with motion capture and creative manipulation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Passion for advancing animation quality in video games

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create lifelike animations for characters and creatures in various styles
• Ensure quality control for animations and provide feedback to the team
• Collaborate closely with character artists, technical artists, programmers, and designers
• Demonstrate a high level of initiative and actively contribute to the development process
• Solve complex animation-related challenges with research and experience
• Communicate development progress effectively and raise concerns when necessary
• Work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve project goals
