Lighting Artist – Farnbrough, UK / Remote – AAA Console Games

OPMs client is looking for a talented Lighting Artist to join their team for the overall production plan and execution, ensuring their team delivers the project according to the goals and objectives defined by the Directors.

The successful candidate will be working in an independent game studio with a prestigious publisher in the early stages of an exciting new project, so they’re looking to expand their team to accommodate for this growth.



  • Previous experience as a Lighting Artist.
  • Previous experience with lighting in a PBR pipeline/ game engine.
  • Experience in Maya and a good understanding of modern shader libraries.
  • Previous experience in the games industry.
  • Previously shipped a project on Console or PC.
  • Comfortable presenting lighting work, updates and pre-production work.



  • Delivering high-quality lighting solutions.
  • Follow the studio guidance for lighting and shading while maintaining best practices.
  • Creating or overseeing lighting work, both in studio and outsourced.
  • Creating well written lighting documentation where required.
  • Work with Producers and the Lighting Lead to ensure a realistic project scope.



  • Experience in Unreal Engine, Unity and in-house game engines such as Frostbite and Decima.
  • Knowledge of various lighting techniques, post-pro editing and a keen interest in cinematography.
  • A good sense of colour theory and an open approach to stylistic application.
