Lead/Senior/Team Quest Designers – Eastern Europe – Competitive Salary + Relocation & Other Benefits – AAA Games

OPM is excited to be working with this leading and rapidly-growing games development studio with offices across the Eurasia, US and Canadian regions housing over 200 veteran game developers, artist and production managers. With over 10 years of working the industry client has worked on the development of over 40 games across different platforms and has worked with some of the biggest names in the games industry on hit titles.

 

Having recently taken on a new project with a large AAA publisher, my client is looking to build a new team of 8 Quest Designers (including 1 Lead and several Senior & Team Quest Designers) to work on this new project. The project is an unannounced title which will be part of a popular AAA games franchise. My client is willing to discuss the details of the project upon completion of a signed NDA.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will be responsible for designing, planning and implementing story driven quests for this project. You will:

  • Create the detailed storylines.
  • Design and implement quests.
  • Plan and integrate delivered assets (locations, characters, gameplay elements & dialogue etc.) required for quest creation to provide a seamless, engaging and unique experience.
  • Cooperate with other departments.
  • Maintain the highest possible quality of quests, and fixing reported bugs.
  • Create and maintain design documentation.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working in a Quest/Mission Design position on at least 1 shipped AAA title (an open-world/RPG game would be a plus) with strong narrative and quest/mission design elements.
  • Experience with game editors, game design and visual scripting tools.
  • Able to effectively work across teams.
  • A creative mentality and a good sense of narrative pacing.
  • Passionate about games.
  • Excellent communication skills & proven ability to work within a team.
