Lead Tools Engineer – Games – Midlands

OPM are working with a Leamington Spa based Games Developer, known for a string of successful releases. They are looking for a Lead Tools Engineer to join their brand new open world action/shooter development team. You will join the team and project at an early stage, giving you the rare opportunity to shape the technology used to build a large-scale AAA title.

Your expert leadership skills and strong customer focus will see you grow and develop a team of Engineers to prioritise and deliver the features and tooling to meet the needs of the development team.

Leading a team of highly skilled Engineers, you will be responsible for the delivery of their work to time and quality expectations. You will set direction for the team, and work with other disciplines to ensure delivery and maintenance of a powerful and efficient toolset for others.

You are driven by a passion for software engineering, as well as motivating and developing your team to deliver high quality, innovative solutions. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, so your ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively is vital. You are highly motivated and approachable, with a strong desire to push the boundaries of technology.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Leadership experience
• A proven track record of successful planning and delivery
• Excellent communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset
• Experience of working with current-gen consoles
• Strong C# and software architecture skills
• A passion for games
