Project: PC/Console Multiplayer Games

Located in the London borough of Bromley, our client is all about crafting the world's most engaging multiplayer experiences. They are growing the studio for exciting new projects on PC and console and are looking for a talented and passionate Lead Systems Programmer to help create them.

The successful candidate will join their Core Technical team, who are responsible for implementing the core systems, graphic features, pipelines and infrastructure that enable the development team and provide the solid framework across their games.


  • Strong experience programming in a game’s studio, with an expert understanding of C++.
  • Solid leadership skills with the ability to lead low-level systems programmers.
  • Ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical members.
  • Experience working alongside design teams in order to obtain requirements and design low-level engine systems.
  • Experience working in all phases of development, from feature design to bug-fixing.


  • Establishing the technical direction, intent and best practices within your team.
  • Identifying risks and blockers and proactively removing them.
  • Responsible for spearheading your team from architecture design, to implementation of large-scale engine features.
  • Using your teams experience to detect risks, build roadmaps and become a force-multiplier for your team.
  • Work with other disciplines to help them realise their visions through rapid prototyping and iterative agile development.
  • Implement fresh and thrilling gameplay features within multiplayer titles.
  • You will use your sophisticated knowledge and experience to own the technical design and implementation of large game features.
  • You will provide support for junior members of the team whilst effectively managing your own time and workload.
  • You will help drive the project by working with your discipline lead to plan and maintain roadmaps.


  • Experience with real-time networked multiplayer games.
  • Professional experience with Unreal Engine 4.
  • Experience with multi-threaded development
  • Experience developing on modern or next gen consoles.
  • Knowledge of profiling and optimising code for CPU, memory and bandwidth usage.
  • Knowledge of developing procedurally generated environments.
