OPM are excited to be working with this AAA console games studio in London who are looking for a remarkably talented Lead/Senior Network Programmer who ready to produce a AAA title on next gen platforms. The successful candidate will manage their team of coders, working on all online and network aspects of the project.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Professional experience of owning network development on at least one AAA title
• Excellent understanding of C/C++
• Deep understanding of requirements needed to develop software on modern platforms.
• Strong understanding of game technology principles.
• Experience defining, designing, and implementing production process for creative teams.
• Experience working with Unreal Engine is a strong advantage.
• Broad range of experience with the full network stack, from low level UDP through to simple REST services.
• Able to incorporate third party systems to fulfil game requirements.
• Willingness to contribute to all network layers on both server and client, not just hand off at the transport layer.
• Knowledge of anti-cheat solutions for networked games.
• Detail oriented with a high bar for the quality of delivery
• Exceptional time management skills to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Great interpersonal and communications skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of their networked and online mechanisms and components.
• Advising gameplay and content teams and evangelising good network processes.
• Be a positive, active, and contributing team member.
• Offer advice and suggestions for improving the development process.
• Be proactive and help with general problem solving.
