Lead QA – Hybrid, Barcelona, Spain – AAA Games Developer

One Player Mission are thrilled to be working with an exciting AAA studio, located in Barcelona who are seeking a Lead QA to join their team.

As a Lead QA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of their AAA game. In this role, you will build and lead a team of quality assurance professionals and work closely with development, project management, and production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and deliver a flawless experience to their players. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective quality assurance strategies to continuously improve their processes and deliverables. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or in a related field. 
• Extensive knowledge of progressive QA leadership experience and a minimum of 1 game shipped (consoles). 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• In-depth knowledge of software development (JIRA, etc.) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum). 
• Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
• Quality assurance certification (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Software Tester, IGDA QA, etc) is a plus.
• Knowledge of UE5 would be considered an advantage. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and supervise a team of testers in quality assurance. 
• Allocate tasks and ensure a balanced workload distribution.  
• Helping your team to collect feedback & identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop quality assurance plans for projects, including defining quality criteria, timelines, and required resources. 
• Establish effective testing processes, quality standards, and metrics to assess performances. 
• Bug management (prevention, detection, tracking) 
• Exploring opportunities for test automation
