OPMs client has been making great games for over 30 years! They have a rich and unrivalled heritage of multiple award-winning racing games. Working at this studio you will deliver AAA standard games, have your ideas heard, be valued, and recognised for your contributions. They are seeking a Lead/Principle Technical Artist to join their outstanding studio in Southam.

The successful candidate will be a key link between the artists and programmers on their latest AAA title. You will take ownership for evolving art pipelines, workflows, and optimisation processes for pioneering console games.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead conduit between the programming and art disciplines, interpreting the needs of the art team into functional, programmable solutions.
  • Help in defining their content pipelines, resources, and optimisation processes, for streamlined production and visual quality.
  • Using script-level programming to produce tools for the art team.
  • Document anomalies & blockers through to elimination, pinpointing & implementing solutions.
  • Support the Technical Art Director by supplying guidance on technical implementation across all art disciplines.
  • Bring fresh techniques into the studio and advise training requirements.
