Project: AAA Console Games

OPMs client is a UK-based, full-service independent publisher and developer of interactive digital entertainment, who are currently working on a well-established Open World Title.

They are seeking an experienced and highly skilled programmer who is passionate and knowledgeable about online technologies to join the reputable team. In addition to experience and skill, our client place great emphasis on integrity, working hard and team solidarity.


  • Professional experience using Node.js
  • Professional experience using PostgreSQL
  • Professional experience using cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Google Cloud and Digital Ocean.
  • Professional experience with load balancing and scaling
  • Understanding of Agile development and workflows


  • Leading a small close-knit team of online developers
  • Building and coordinating cloud architecture
  • Outlining the online frameworks and methodologies utilised, leading technical design and documentation of the online features
  • Taking ownership for the quality and stability of their servers and backend infrastructure
  • Cooperate with DevOps and LiveOps to fix any problems that occur
  • Cooperate with other departments to execute features that may be requested


  • Experience with Ubuntu or other Unix-like systems
  • Experience with Nginx
  • Experience with Javascript frontend frameworks – while Vue.js knowledge would be ideal, any (React, Angular etc) is relatively transferrable and appropriate for the role
  • Experience profiling and optimising network, CPU, memory, IO etc.
  • Experience with TCP and UDP network programming
  • Experience with PSN, XBL, Steam, Switch platform services
  • Professional experience in games development
  • Passionate about games and game development
