Project: F2P Wrestling Games

OPM are working with a rapidly growing, exciting studio led by experienced tech and wrestling industry professionals, developing a free-to-play wrestling game with MMORPG mechanics.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong programming experience across multiple projects as a Lead Gameplay Programmer
• Professional experience working on a live game and or free-to-play game
• Ability to prototype as well as produce final code
• Able to create technical and hiring roadmaps
• Worked across all life cycles of game development – concept, pre-production, production, live etc.
• Desire to make the leap to becoming a senior leader within a studio and help with its long-term growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, test, and iterate new game-mechanic functionality for combat, characters, cameras, and controls
• Developing game elements specifically, physics and network functionality
• Work with the Game Director and Lead Game Designer to create technical requirements and hiring roadmaps
• Set best coding practises that others can follow
• Suggest and implement improvements for performance and reliability
• Write and maintain technical documentation
• Research new tools, techniques, and processes
• Debugging and optimising the games' performance and memory
• Build and manage a team of coders

DESIRED SKILLS (good to have):

• Experience working on PvP and PvE combat games
• Experience working across different time zones
