Their newest studio, based in London, is currently growing their team and have a unique opportunity for a talented Lead Gameplay Engineer to join them and help lead the technical vision of their project working closely with the production and design teams daily to craft the vision of core gameplay.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with leading AAA PC/console development teams
• Extensive experience using C++
• Experience in the technical design, implementation and maintenance of game systems such as: traversal, AI, navigation, combat and real-time networking.
• Versatile and proactive, with a desire to contribute to a wide range of engineering tasks
• Experience with software debugging and optimisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the gameplay team and give direct input on the feature roadmap
• Identify technical barriers and suggest solutions
• Developing a range of gameplay features and game systems, primarily using Unreal Engine
• Performing code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge
• Bug fixing and optimization
• Working closely with designers to flesh out features and create good gameplay feel
• Working closely with other disciplines such as animators and artists to provide code support
• Continual learning about state-of-the-art games systems and coding best practice
