OPM’s client, a VR Game Development Studio, is currently recruiting for an Lead Game Programmer to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team of developers on their most ambitious project yet, a multi-platform AAA VR action shooter based on a global franchise.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience managing at team of programmers on a released game
• Strong professional experience with C++ and have a good understanding of all the concepts of the language
• Strong experience using Unreal Engine, good understand of creating blueprints, optimising code, and the Unreal pipeline
• Passionate about new technology & have good knowledge of what has been happening in the VR field so far

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely together with the other discipline leads, your producer and game director in order to setup the technical direction for a project
• Stand at the core of a project and setup the overarching plan and technical design with input from your team in conjunction with the chief engineer
• Using C++,create solid technical designs and steer your team towards the best implementation of a feature or system
• Adapt and expand upon the studio pipeline and coding standards to create spectacular and immersive games and experiences
• Constantly take performance into account so games and experiences can keep running at a smooth 72+ FPS, even when rendering to both eyes and using the latest and greatest mobile hardware to do so
• Analyse problems and debug them in order to quickly locate and fix challenging bugs
• Guide and mentor all programmers in your team so they can technically grow within the studio
