Project: F2P Mobile Games

OPM’s client is an MMORPG development studio based out of Bangkok, Thailand. They boast an international team of talented game industry specialist who are committed to crafting innovative MMORPG projects for mobile devices.

They are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Game Designer to lead their team and be a source of knowledge, ideas and inspiration.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong game design experience including senior or lead involvement on a shipped title
• Extensive content and systems design experience, with experience of full implementation from concept to delivery
• Passion and enthusiasm for MMORPG games
• Great communication skills to share designs and inspire the wider development team
• Knowledge of mobile game industry best practices
• Fluent English speaking and writing abilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Play their games, gain a thorough and deep understanding of exactly what game the team are making
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure that designs have a clear and significant benefit to cost ratio
• Communicate closely with the player community and company management to ensure designs fit the needs of both the players and the business
• Collaborate with the project management team to manage, schedule and organize design team tasks
• Motivate and inspire the design team with drive, passion and energy
• Make sure time estimates are accurate and tasks are completed on time
• Maintain effective communication within design and with the wider team
• Make sure the team design documentation is up to date, clear and of high quality
• Mentor and provide feedback to team members
• Perform as necessary hands on content, systems and feature design
