OPMs client is seeking for a talented Lead Environment Artist to join their team.

The successful candidate will join our clients team working on their signature AAA IP.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication skills, being capable of conveying the project’s vision and specific art direction requirements across multi-cultural teams
  • A passion for creating immersive environments that convey unique and interesting storylines
  • A vast career with experience with at least one title shipped in a similar role
  • An in-depth understanding of next-gen game content development processes, tools, pipelines, scene management, limitations, and dependencies
  • Proven ability to direct the production of top quality, next-generation environments/world content
  • Experience in all phases of production and planning of environments such as block-out, asset lists, assembly, lighting, polishing, and optimization
  • Expertise in constructing levels using Unreal Engine
  • To be proactive and self-motivated, working without direct supervision and able to present the work of the team and the project in a professional manner
  • Previous team leadership experience; having demonstrated the ability to mentor less experienced artists to achieve top quality and consistent results
  • Ability to work remotely with other remote team members, with core hours overlapping our team

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Lead teams to build cohesive and immersive experiences, from initial block out to final in-game polish
  • Contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of content production
  • Leverage your expertise to shape and continually improve the artistic direction of our game
  • Together with the Art Director and Studio Art Manager, help establish the quality benchmarks for the team
  • Work with the Producers and other leads and artists to develop solid estimates, pipelines, schedules, and production plans
  • Demonstrate, communicate, and exemplify clear expectations for quality of work, productivity, communication, and professionalism to the team
  • Promote a professional and positive work environment for the team
  • Assure technical requirements are met consistently throughout the project
  • Oversee quality of assets, both artistically and technically
  • When required, help review assets and levels from art outsourcing vendors and provide feedback
  • Manage level and environment artists, identifying growth areas and participate in their ongoing career development
