This prestigious Swedish game studio is comprised of a seasoned group of developers recognised for their work creating story-driven games.

They can boast an impressive back catalogue of action-packed console and PC games, which have won numerous awards and reached both commercial and critical acclaim.

They are looking for a Lead Engine Programmer to oversee a team of talented programmers with the mission of ensuring the engine is well functioning for the challenge of producing a world class AAA title.


  • Solid experience of successfully leading an engineering team.
  • Extensive programming experience in AAA game development studio through a full development cycle.
  • Able to accept responsibility for the team’s deliverables.
  • Foresee and analyse problems, determine solutions, and makes informed decisions.
  • Demonstrable strong problem-solving and debugging skills in C++.
  • Write clean, well commented, and maintainable code.
  • Good understanding of linear algebra.
  • Are independent and self-starters, and able to take initiatives to collaborate cross functionally.
  • Constantly looking improvements to processes and achieving results.
  • Strong communication skill, able to provide constructive feedback to individuals and teams.
  • Passionate about games and games development.


  • Lead the Engine Team and together with CTO and producers, plan the Engine team's work.
  • Through continuous feedback as well as the annual performance review, assist the team members in developing their skills and capabilities.
  • Ensure that team members have sufficient understanding, authority, and resources to carry out their responsibilities.
  • Hands on involvement, architecting and implementing features in C/C++, that is CPU, GPU, and memory efficient.
  • Develop, extend, and debug tools for the development of the games.
  • Work together with programmers and other disciplines involved in the daily work.
  • Review code written by programmers across the studio to improve quality.
  • If necessary, debug, modify, extend, or use the tools pipeline as needed.
  • Proactively keeping an eye on new technologies and tools on the market and suggesting ways of implementing them into the workflow when applicable.
