Our client is seeking a Lead Character Artist to join their multi award winning studio in the historical city of Nottingham to help create and shape their projects to make them astonishing

The successful candidate will be working with current artists and their fashion design team, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality output from both the inhouse team and their outsources.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Shipped at least one mobile title as a Lead Character Artist
  • Extensive experience in game development (preferably mobile)
  • Proficient knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya / Modo / MudBox / ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter or equivalent package
  • Insight of industrial and product design
  • Superb understanding of form, shape, structure, and anatomy
  • Robust traditional art skills such as painting, drawing, or sculpting
  • Experience with modular character sets.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Leading the character art team in development of high-quality clothing
  • Modelling, texturing, and implementation of real-time character models
  • Contributing to the references, concepts, and art direction, while also having the initiative to take the work further independently
  • Work closely with their team and external partners to ensure that quality is consistent and to a high standard
