Project: Cross Platform Games


OPMs client is an established videogame developer creating cutting-edge games on all major platforms. Best known as the creative force behind a multi-million selling franchise, this studio is an established UK developer with a track record of delivering quality titles.

They are currently seeking an experience Lead Artist assist in defining the artistic vision for a range of projects and produce compelling game visuals, assets, and interfaces on multiplatform projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional experience leading a creative or art team.
  • Superb understanding of 3DS Max, Substance Painter and Photoshop.
  • Superb understanding of Unity and Unreal.
  • Great portfolio of released titles displaying high quality art delivery.
  • Deep passion for art in games across a range of styles.
  • Keen eye for composition.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and organised.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Defining the art style, working closely with the art team to communicate your artistic vision.
  • Offer inspiration and direction to your team.
  • Ensure the delivery of the highest possible quality of in game art.
  • Collaborate with other leads and production to ensure best practices and deliver effective optimal assets.
  • Frequently review assets to maintain constant quality across art elements within the game.
  • Create platform-specific UI and HUDs.
  • Work with the Game Director to add artistic definition for projects, and assist with the formation of any associated documentation.

DESIRED SKILLS (good to have):

  • Proven background working on an array of game genres.
  • Professional experience working across several platforms from mobile to VR.
  • Capable of working in either stylized or realistic art styles.
  • Deep interest in vehicle focused games, combat, or racing.
  • Deep interest in board games & CCG's
