My Client, a well know Game Development Studio, is looking for a passionate and creative Game Designer to help build the exciting opportunities that are now available to them.

The role is focused on content creation and involves using a range of software and in house tools to design, document and balance a wide variety of compelling game play experiences.

If you’re a keen Game Design Graduate or if you have professional Game Design experience and you’re looking for a platform to accelerate your creative career, then this role could be for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Be adaptable and creative with a solid, practical understanding of game mechanics and genres
  • Be self-motivated and proactive as well as working under guidance and as part of a team
  • Communicate both verbally and visually as well as building relationships within the team to ensure seamless results
  • Apply artistic and programmatic perspectives to work
  • Produce clear and concise documentation, analysing problems and finding the most efficient and effective solutions
  • Learn new game design tools
  • Estimate work and take responsibility for delivering it on time and to the required studio standard

Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of Game Design and/or experience within a professional game design role for a game development studio
  • Experience with the use of game editing tools i.e. Unreal, Unity and/or 3d packages i.e. Max Maya
  • Able to work full time in the studio

Beneficial requirements:

  • Industry experience is not essential but it’s highly beneficial
  • Understanding of game mechanics and genres
  • Scripting experience, Lua, python or equivalent would be beneficial

The successful candidates will receive a competitive salary dependant on their skills and experience.
