Junior UI Artist – North West UK – Mobile Games – 6 Month Contract

This successful mobile games developer in the North West of the UK is looking to hire a full time Junior UI Artist. Their games have been downloaded more than 50million times. Established since 2005 they have an impressive back catalogue of successful games and appeal to gamers of all ages.


As a Junior UI Artist on our clients team, you will be expected to work to take guidance from the Lead UI Artist and to work alongside Designers, other Artists, Programmers and Producer on a day-to-day basis, providing high quality assets that achieve the production and quality goals set for the project. You will also work closely with the Lead UI Artist to deliver the style and quality standard for all front-end elements set for your given task.


You will be expected to estimate timescales for your tasks in advance and deliver milestones as part of the development process. You will work alongside the Producer and Lead UI Artist to plan out work schedules for all tasks.



  • Relevant degree or equivalent level qualification.
  • Demonstrate a sufficient understanding of the technical requirements and limitations of providing 2d Art for use in a Game Engine.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret and apply style guidelines across a range of contexts.
  • Good working knowledge and proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and/or similar.
  • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating 2D UI asset creation.
  • Demonstrates dependability and commitment to projects / tasks.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to adapt with change.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail.



  • Experience within a games studio, although we would consider graduates and industry entrants demonstrating a strong portfolio.
  • Good working knowledge of HTML Editing.
  • Quick to learn Software and in-house tools used in development.
