With an office in Central London, this particular studio reports into the global R&D division and provides a range of services that support the development of games, services and applications on their family of products for both global studios and its third party partners throughout Europe and Australasia.

This studio is looking for a JavaScript experienced engineer to join their established, high performance team in central London. The role involves the implementation of a JavaScript front-end UI for a video streaming application using own proprietary JavaScript framework and the implementation of features with integrating web API and video core framework. The ideal candidate will come from JavaScript application development on consumer electronics device and be enthusiastic about video streaming technologies. 

– Architecting, developing and maintaining their video streaming application for their hardware.
– Implementing and testing required features and software components within the framework.
– Keeping implementation on target to meet a tight schedule.
– Providing innovation to current technology.
– Building and updating framework samples and documentation.
– Understanding the project vision, key dates and milestones

The following skills are required for the role:
– A smart, self-driven, problem solving attitude!
– Bachelor’s degree, extensive, relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
– Demonstrable experience creating interactive user interfaces in either JavaScript, TypeScript or similar ECMA-based scripting languages
– Experience with source code revision control, Git preferred
– Good knowledge and experience writing test units used for validating and regression testing of software components.
– Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with differing groups both inside and outside of the company.
– Ability to work to strict deadlines without direct supervision

The following skills are not required for the role, but would be seen as highly advantageous:
– Experience on Scrum environments.
– Experience in RAML / Restful API design
– Experience in video streaming technology
– Experience with other scripting or programming languages such as Java, C#, Python etc.
– Experience implementing applications on limited hardware
– Experience with design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Flash)
