My client are a renowned independent video game developer who are looking for someone to fill an exciting, brand new role which is integral to the delivery of an ambitious and driven growth plan leading on the franchise’s development.

Franchises are a core and extremely valuable part of their business and they are looking for a very special individual to join the award-winning team to drive the future growth potential of some of the most important franchises.

In this role, you will push forward and deliver under the following:

Strategic Focus;

  • Create and maintain a long-term roadmap for their core franchises that drives optimal franchise value and delivers on strategic goals
  • Responsible for long term revenue growth of core franchises
  • Present rounded business cases for investment to include audience insights, financials, analytics
  • Suggest and recommend strategy adjustments based on financial performance, consumer insights & competitive analysis
  • Develop a framework for franchise planning, working with and supporting departments both internally and with and label partner franchises to implement

Operational Focus;

  • Ensure all departments are in position to deliver on strategic and in year goals to deliver optimal franchise value
  • Responsible for managing core franchise P&L
  • Partner with creative and development functions on building the core content, product and delivering to the marketing platforms
  • Drive brand life-cycle and long-term content and marketing strategies: ensure these are shared and owned by key stakeholders, getting feedback and ensuring ‘buy in’
  • Lead and create company wide communications strategy to support the franchise, translate the strategy into specific priorities, objectives and action plans for each part of the business.
  • Drive on-boarding and implementation of plans
  • Report on overall franchise success and support the presentation of key learning’s to the CEO and leadership team on a quarterly basis
  • Support sales teams with brand pitch tools & marketing innovation Guide and support all department teams with the ideation and implementation of the franchise strategies

External Relations;

  • Act as the key influencer & voice of core franchise’s
  • Become the brand steward for the managed franchises, supporting the business with reviews and approvals to ensure consistency and compliance to the franchise attributes and goals
  • Assist leadership team in partnering with key global, regional and local franchise stakeholders for the franchise strategies implementation

A strong team player is key – this role will need to influence the work of a virtual team (platform holders/licensing partners/ franchise owners and group stakeholders), supporting and guiding them towards reaching the commercial objectives

Other skills, attributes and experience;

  • Extensive commercial marketing experience
  • Commercial skill set required
  • Digitally experienced
  • A+ presenter (verbal & written)
  • Resilience, tenacity & diplomacy
  • Ability to use different influencing styles to achieve end goal
  • Comfortable using & working through a matrix structure to deliver the end solution
  • Able to drive internal focus through visual sales tools & compelling strategy
  • Comfortable managing a small team & in-direct stakeholders
  • Open communicator who shows curiosity for solution seeking
  • Ability to straddle both the commercial planning and marketing worlds
  • Product development awareness is a plus
  • Marketing qualifications is a plus – specifically including Marcomms planning
