Unity Graphics Programmer – Multiplatform (PC/Console) Games – Hybird/Onsite Bordeaux, France

OPM’s client is indie studio based in the beautiful city of Bordeaux, going from strength to strength, following the success of their breakout multiplatform “roguevania” title. The successful candidate will join a growing team, working on both their current hit title and upcoming unannounced projects.


  • Strong programming experience in the games industry with at least one shipped title in Unity
  • Deep understanding of engine core and all the rendering pipelines: SSAO, Deferred Shading technics, Shadows, Global Illumination, Particles…
  • Mastery of GPU programming and shaders
  • Deep understanding of the art production pipeline in Unity or other established game engines
  • Good English language skills


  • Designing the artistic workflow and necessary tools/pipelines for all rendering subjects, in collaboration with the team, for one or multiple projects
  • Working closely with the Art Director and CTO to achieve the desired artistic vision through Unity while still being able to ship across multiple target systems
  • Keeping a regular focus on performance analysis and optimisation, on all kind of platforms
  • Finding technical solutions and solving problems will be crucial, bringing to bear your understanding of engine, hardware, and real time constraints


  • Demonstrable production experience with Universal Rendering Pipeline
  • Developed a homemade engine and/or framework
  • Experience with a recent graphic API such as Vulkan, DirectX11…
  • Good understanding of art asset production tools such as Photoshop, Maya, Blender, 3DS etc
  • Experience with 2D and 3D pipelines and a deep understanding of their benefits and limitations, and the production pipelines that fit with them
  • Some scripting language experience such as Python, Lua, MaxScript
  • Previous work experience in both indie and/or AAA studios
  • Financial and logistical help with relocation (basically we take care of it all)
