Experienced Game Designer – PC & Console Games – London – 3-6 Month Contract

Our client helps developers and publishers bring their games to market by providing development support and porting services. They’re a studio filled with creative minds who deeply love making games, with an extensive history of original development.

They’re looking for a well-rounded Experienced Game Designer to join their team in London. They’re looking for someone that can help shape and guide an on-going project.

Responsibilities:

  • Make sure the user experience of core features is excellent for players of all skill levels
  • Implement, balance and bug fix game-play features
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the implementation of systems into actual game-play maintaining the overall balance
  • Using Unity to modify and iterate on the game through-out development
  • Working with engineers and other team members in understanding functionality necessary for implementing various interface / interaction solutions

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a designer within the games industry
  • At least one completed game in your portfolio
  • Experience with Unity and Unreal Engine 4
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of platform limitations
  • Experience working with version control software such as SVN, Perforce or Git
  • Experience working with task / bug tracking software such as JIRA, Bugzilla, Redmine or Hansoft
  • Visual creativity and a passion for generating new ideas

The successful candidates will receive a competitive salary dependant on their skills and experience.
