Project: AAA Console & PC Games

My client and I are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Gameplay Animator to work on the development of high-profile self-published AAA project for Console & PC.

The successful candidate will take on a significant ownership and responsibility, whilst providing enthusiasm, excellent animation skills and innovative problem solving their project.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience as an Animator in the video games industry
• Expert Animator, with a deep passion for animation and the gaming industry
• Excellent observational skills alongside a great understanding of weight distribution and pacing/timing
• Professional experience as an Animator in games development
• Demonstrable ability with realistic keyframed character animation
• Great knowledge of modern animation techniques and 3rd party animation software including Maya and Motion Builder
• Professional experience working with and creatively manipulating motion capture
• Good communication skills and able to work in a team
• Keen desire to advance animation in gaming to new levels of believability

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with the Animation Director to ensure that animation content meets the expectations of quality, consistency, and style
• Work alongside a talented team of programmers, designers, and animators, to fully realise content for their in-game character features.
• Give life to their 3rd person player-controlled characters as well as realising NPC movement, performances, and behaviours

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Professional experience with additive, partial and layered animation systems
• Strong understanding of setting up/working with animation state machines and blend trees
• Fundamental understanding of rigging and scripting
• Experience working with quadrupeds
