Game Designer – Racing Games – Midlands, UK – Permanent

OPM is very excited to be dealing with this big budget console games developer who have grown rapidly over recent years. Founded several years ago by industry veterans with the declared aim to produce AAA titles on next-gen platforms. They achieved this with their very first release and are now aiming to add more successes to their portfolio line-up. Their team consists of an impressive pool of talent and this is evident in the quality of their games.

They’re now looking for a Game Designer to further strengthen their world class design team. As a key member of the design team on a AAA title, you’ll take responsibility for sections of the game design, as well as mentoring junior teammates.

You will join the game design team on a AAA title, taking responsibility for sections of the game design and their implementation. Reporting to the Lead Game Designer, you will create high quality feature designs and work closely with engineers, artists and audio designers to implement them to the highest standard.

As a Game Designer, you will act as a champion of quality across the game team. You must be flexible, highly motivated and approachable.

Requirements:

• Industry experience in game design positions
• Experience working in a Design position on at least one high-profile published console title
• A demonstrable track record of quality in your previous work
• Excellent communication skills
• A genuine passion for games

The successful candidates will receive a competitive salary dependant on their skills and experience.
