Game Designer (Pitch Team) – Mobile Games – Scotland – Permanent

This means that their team have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of games for some of the biggest brands in the entertainment industry.

They’re looking for a Game Designer to join their team. You will be responsible for creating attention-grabbing concepts for world class games franchises and global IP.

Responsibilities:

• Work within the pitch team alongside the Head of Business Development to generate new game concepts to fulfil client briefs, and also speculative ideas based on brand new market opportunities
• Communicate with external clients to identify and define requirements
• Create compelling, attention-grabbing pitches for external clients
• Create core game loops, specify high level monetization systems and purchase flows
• Create game mechanisms, product flows, UI layouts, and other elements needed to present the idea.
• Work closely with project team members to execute design and work through design revisions as needed to create engaging gameplay prototypes
• Generate requirements for design and other disciplines such as artists and programmers
• Work closely with game economists and data analysts to ensure the best F2P monetization methods are followed

Requirements:

• Candidates will ideally extensive experience working in a design role and be educated to degree level
• The ideal candidate has experience of pitching or creating game concepts and designs, plus a solid understanding of mechanics, trends and where the market is going
• You’re excited by the possibilities of social and connected gaming on mobile, with a flexibility to work across a wide variety of genres
• You have great attention to detail, excellent communication skills and are confident in presenting your ideas
• Excellent knowledge of F2P and mobile games
• Creative writing skills to create a compelling and cohesive vision
• Experience presenting game concepts to external clients
• High degree of creativity and proven design skills
• Experience with wireframing tools
• Appreciation for agile style development processes
