Game Designer – F2P Mobile Games – Scotland – Permanent

They have been creating fantastic games for more than 12 years. Partnered with incredible companies from across the globe to produce titles spanning every genre in mobile development. This means that their team have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of games for some of the biggest brands in the entertainment industry.

They’re looking for a Game Designer to join their team. As a Designer, you’ll be a creative contributor to their team of designers, you will also get the chance to work on new game concepts as part of  the Pitch Team, creating attention-grabbing pitch concepts for world class game franchises and global IP.

Responsibilities:

• Create core game loops, specify high level monetization systems and purchase flows
• Create and maintain design documentation
• Design and direct the development of player experiences and game mechanisms
• Work closely with the Producer to ensure scope and milestones are met
• Generate requirements for design and other disciplines such as artists and programmers
• Work closely with game economists and data analysts to ensure the best F2P monetization methods are followed
• Conduct playtests, identify improvements on products and pro-actively fix issues
• Work closely with project team members to execute design and work through design revisions as needed

Requirements:

• Solid experience working in a design role within the F2P mobile games market and be educated to degree level
• The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanics, trends and where the market is going
• Experience with presentation software
• Creative writing skills
• Ability to manage and document design on multiple projects is a plus
• Experience of pitching or creating game concepts and designs will be beneficial
• Appreciation for agile style development processes
