My client has an impressive back catalogue of action packed console and PC games, which have won numerous awards and reached both commercial and critical acclaim.

They are now looking to add to their team and recruit for a talented experienced UI Artist.

The studio need someone who is ready for the challenge of producing a AAA title on the next generation platforms. Their ideal candidate will possess the ability to work together with a team of developers in creating high quality user interfaces to deliver an intuitive and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Directors and Leads to determine the functionality and features of the User Interface.
• Collaborate with Artists and Engineers in the implementation of a clear, exciting and intuitive User Experience.
• Develop and communicate visual concepts and functional prototypes.
• Apply and maintain a consistent art style throughout the entire project interface.
• Conceptualise and create high quality assets consistent with the established art direction.
• Iterate on feedback to develop and polish features to a high standard of quality.

Skill Requirements

• Prior UI design experience with at least one published AAA title.
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
• Experience with Unreal Engine, UI authoring tools, and node-based visual scripting.
• Able to demonstrate a Player-focused approach to design with a strong understanding of core UI and usability principles.
• Strong graphic design skills – particularly layout, iconography, typography, and colour theory application.
• Demonstrate strong motion graphic animation skills.
• Awareness of current interaction and design trends.

Desirable additional Skills

• Wire-framing Experience.
• Experience working with the UE4 blueprints system and UMG.
• Knowledge of industry standard 3D software.
• Traditional 2D sketching and composition skills.
