Environment Artist – FPS Shooter projects – Remote/Studio based – UK

Project: FPS Shooter

OPMs client is looking for a talented Environment Artist to help create a variety of unique settings on a next generation shooter project.


  • Solid Experience working on AAA Games
  • Skilled in using 3D software Such as Maya and Max
  • Good experienced in high to low poly baking
  • Familiarity working with designers from white box to final quality
  • Experience of creating optimal lods for game
  • Excellent knowledge of shape, form, and scale
  • Experienced with PBR material creation
  • An understanding of games and game art creation
  • Experience of working with game engines
  • Creating artwork based on the specification given by the technical team, budgets, shaders etc.


  • Work tightly with the Lead artist to create precise, high quality environments and environment assets
  • Working independently on asset sets
  • Building in the editor to create levels and environments
  • Creating efficient UV layouts that work well within the engine / platform constraints
  • Working with PBR shaders following the established game Art Direction
  • Possibility of mentoring junior artists

DESIRED SKILLS (good to have):

  • Substance Painter/Designer knowledge
  • Understanding of Unreal engine
  • Experience with outsource studios
  • Illustrative / Concept art / Matte painting skills
