OPM are excited to be working with one of the UK’s most prolific and secure independent game developers, with 3 UK studios now and many fantastic new opportunities on the horizon.

Founded in 2003, this successful developer has had a string of successful titles across all gaming platforms for partners that include Microsoft, SEGA, Sony and many more. They are now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced audio programmer to join the Sumo Nottingham teams to assist with development of existing console and Windows based projects.

As Audio Programmer you will author game and engine systems and tools related to music and audio effects. You will work with audio designers, the code team and production to achieve the highest possible quality product, testing, debugging and revision of new or existing engine systems. In addition to profiling, performance-analysis and performance tuning.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Practical and demonstrable professional experience with Audio development
  • Experienced and proficient in C++
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, portable code
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Math skills
  • Professional experience with gameplay and multiplayer programming desirable
  • Multiplatform and Console development experience
