Our client is looking for a talented, passionate Art Manager to join their team in London building a new and highly ambitious online shooter. They are looking to grow a relatively small, tight-knit team, capable of delivering big ideas through experience, smart process, and world-class tools.

As the Art Manager you will utilize your passion, experience, and technical acumen to build and manage a multi-disciplinary art team. You will report to the Art Director and work with production, engineering, and design to implement the Art Director’s vision.

Your tasks:

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a highly creative team of artists. Work with Art Director to review the art team's output for completeness
  • Build a team to meet the Art Director’s vision. Work with Art Director to arrive at appropriate compromises for budget and schedule
  • Present best practices to art teams, critiquing asset viability, pipelines, and workflows
  • Oversee all external vendors. Assist in the organization of packs, documentation, and management of deliverables
  • With the Development Manager and Producer, assist in creating a roadmap for development of all art assets, internal and external. Communicate and prioritize dependencies
  • With the Development Manager, create a budget for your team including projected headcount, vendor expenses, and hardware and software needs
  • Organize and manage all art documentation

Your profile:

  • Shipped at least one title credited as Art Manager or Lead Artist
  • Substantial management experience
  • Substantial experience managing external vendors
  • Strong experience with AAA character development preferred
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) preferred
  • Significant experience with sci-fi character assets preferred
