Art lead – AAA Games – Vietnam

OPM’s client one of the leading external partners in the CG industry, is seeking an Art Lead who enjoys the challenges of traveling whilst also doing the work you love. We are looking for an accomplished artist with management experience to work with a group of young, dynamic, eager to learn artists, engaging with on the biggest client names in the movies and game industry!

Base yourself in this dynamic city and literally go anywhere is South East Asia for the weekend.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Junior and Senior 3D / 2D model and texture artists engaged in Movies projects
• Manage communication with clients about artistic and technical matters
• Technical expertise to decide which technologies to pursue and which to avoid Establish Art production pipeline in coordination with clients
• Ensure technical and artistic quality of deliverables
• Proven ability to articulate a game project’s art goals, and lead the team to meet objectives to fulfill those goals
• Participate to recruitment and training of new talent

Qualifications:

• Excellent 3D experience in one or more software, 3D Studio Max or Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, Softmage
• Strong artistic aptitudes, experience and skills in 2D design, drawing, painting, & mapping
• Experience creating and optimizing art pipelines
• Experience managing teams of creative geniuses
• Passionate about game development
• Highly organized individual with an eye for details and a passion for leading and mentoring
• Extensive experience with pre-rendered modelling and texturing (not games)
• Good working knowledge of English is a must
• A keen understanding of Western Culture. Client behavior, pop culture references, slang.
