OPM’s client is looking for a talented and experienced Art Director to join the development team their upcoming release.

The successful candidate will take the lead on all art aspects from the design and development of artwork to the general management and supervision over environment, character and visual effects and animation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Great experience in game development as Senior member of an Art Department with a minimum of 3 shipped titles
• Strong commercial knowledge of current game art production pipelines and workflows.
• Exceptional knowledge of all the latest games that are in direct competition with the products that are being developed at the studio. This is to ensure quality level of art is maintained.
• A deep knowledge and understanding of a variety of art 2D and 3D software packages, knowledge of engine and tool sets required to generate assets.
• Excellent technical understanding of colour theory, composition, and staging techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage art teams to establish language and vision for each project.
• Planning of projects and project pitches.
• Make sure art teams have the proper techniques and tools to deliver top quality art on a project.
• Guide art team ensuring they keep the artistic style and mood consistent with defined visual style.
• Mentor and provide strong career guidance to art staff.
