Art Director – Shanghai, China – Console Games

They are one of the largest and most well recognised developers. They have contributed to hundreds of games on all major platforms.

The have worked with many of the top 20 game companies worldwide by contributing to many of their largest AAA titles.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage/ Support junior, senior and lead 3D / 2D artists across multiple disciplines
• Manage the communication with clients about artistic and technical matters
• Technical expertise to decide which technologies to pursue
• Ensure artistic quality of deliverables
• Proven ability to articulate a game project’s art goals, and lead the team to meet objectives to fulfil those goals
• Participate to recruitment and training of new talent

Qualifications:

• Excellent experience in one or more software, 3D Studio Max or Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, Softmage
• Strong artistic aptitudes, experience and skills in 2D design, drawing, painting, & mapping
• Experience creating and optimizing art pipelines
• Previous experience in managing creative teams
• Highly organized individual with an eye for details and a passion for leading and mentoring
• Bachelor degree in Arts, Graphic design or related major
• Experience as Lead Artist, Senior Artist or Art Team Leader with hands-on technical experience including X-Box, PS3 and PS2, and proven track record on real-time 3D games
• Good working knowledge of English is a must
