Project: C++ / Unreal Engine – AAA Games

OPMs clients is seeking an Animation Programmer to join a well-known independent game developer’s studio based in Warsaw. The studio is looking to reshape the industry landscape and on a new generation of Online Shooters for the worldwide gaming community.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong C++ expertise
• Solid professional experience of software engineering on a shipped game
• Knowledge of software design patterns and the ability to design maintainable, extendable, and optimised code
• Strong maths abilities, particularly with linear algebra
• Good understanding of implementing animation requirements as well as maintaining, designing, and improving existing animation systems
• Knowledge of any project management and bug tracking software (like JIRA)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passionate about the games industry and games development

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining, developing & enhancing the animation pipeline system
• Developing tools for use by gameplay programmers and animators
• Supporting optimisations and enhancements for implementing animations for different consoles
• Testing, debugging, profiling, optimising, and documenting implementations
• Actively joining code reviews

DESIRED SKIILLS (good to have):

• Unreal Engine 4 experience
• Skilled with DCC tools like 3DSmax, Maya, Motion Builder
• Knowledge of JIRA, Swarm and Perforce
• Degree(s) in computer science or related disciplines
