OPM are working with a well-established UK developer steeped in history, awards, and success. They have developed on multiple platforms and through continued growth they are looking for a AI Programmer to join their coding team.
The successful candidate will be passionate about improving AI bot behaviours and providing a challenge for players of their games. You will also help to feedback to their external partners on their titles, helping to enhance their AI systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Good understanding of AI solutions and architectures in games e.g. Planning, Navmesh, Agent Behaviour, Avoidance etc
· Professional experience on numerous AI solutions optimised for games e.g. Pathfinding, Behaviour Trees, HTNs, etc
· Knowledge of the boundaries to AI implementations for consoles and limited platforms
· Professional experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, or a proprietary game engine.
· Solid programming skills with C/C++ or C#
· Knowledge of developing games on a modern console platform, is desired.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Evaluating design requirements to debate and determine AI solutions.
· Maintaining and extending existing AI architectures and solutions used across several games.
· Planning, writing, debugging code for features so they are delivered to the wanted quality.
· Assessing project bug database for issues and being proactive to address them.
· Assessing tasks to assist in schedule production.
· Perform tasks within the time scheduled, reporting progress to your Lead Programmer and/or Producer.
