OPM’s client who work in VR/AR are looking for a talented artist to come in for a 6 month contract to help towards their current project.

Candidates should have good communication skills both verbally and in writing, have a strong eye for detail and be able to work on their own initiative. A strong track record of working in a games studio or a similar working environment is essential. OPM’s client need to see a portfolio, preferably accessible online via a website or through portals such as Artstation or CGsociety.

Required skills:

• Visual flair is a must.
• Excellence in building and managing environments within Unreal and/or Unity.
• An extensive working knowledge of 3ds Max
• A knowledge of PBR methodology.
• Must be familiar with Substance Painter/Designer.
• An understanding of hard surface modelling processes and high/low poly workflows.
• A strong familiarity with Photoshop and related Adobe products such as After Effects, Premier and Illustrator.

Desirable:

• A strong track record of working in a games studio or a similar environment is greatly desired, but exceptional raw talent will be considered.

These skills would be beneficial in supporting an application:

• A good standard of draughtsmanship with an inclination towards environmental concepting.
• A familiarity with products such as Quixel MegaScans.
• A knowledge of Zbrush.
• Capability in handling and converting CAD data.
