Remote Working – Physics Programmer – Console and PC Games

OPM is working with a well-known and established Games Development Studio working on Console and PC Projects.

They offer a unique ‘Remote’ working model and are currently developing a follow up title to their successful IP that was released last year.

All of this studios programming roles require strong C++ skills and proven professional industry experience in a similar role is essential.

General responsibilities for the role include:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of vehicle dynamics and physics simulation framework
• Work closely with the game design team, department leads and other programmers to implement physics features
• Contribute to technical design documents and knowledge base
• Able to help with other game system coding when required

Requirements:

• Strong C++ and software development skills
• Experience with advanced physics and vehicle dynamics techniques
• Familiarity with existing physics packages including on hands experience with PhysX
• Excellent mathematics skills
• Experience with advanced optimization approaches
• Extensive industry experience is essential

Soft skills requirements:

• Excellent communication, time-management & Organisational skills
• Self-motivation.
