One Player Mission are pleased to be working with an exciting, independent studio based in Toronto. Recently they launched the sequel to their multi-million copy selling original.

They are looking for a Build Engineer to own and drive the development and stability of the build systems and version control. Using your experience and knowledge to help make improvements for efficiency to both the pipeline but also to automated testing.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Solid experience or education in software development, or related discipline
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging abilities
  • Experience designing and creating automation jobs in CI systems (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity)
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Powershell, Batch, Python)
  • Strong knowledge in source-control administration and good practices (e.g. Perforce, Git)
  • Experience making PKGs for First Party Platforms
  • Creative, curious, and motivated to grow your technical abilities
  • Ability to communicate and discuss technical topics with both technical and business audiences
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Strong sense of initiative and ownership
  • Willingness to work in Toronto is preferred, but remote opportunities are available

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work as a technical liaison with development teams to address build issues and improvements
  • Develop and maintain automation pipelines
  • Develop robust workflows to deploy changes in a live product environment
  • Monitor automation systems and proactively respond to breakages
  • Create and monitor metrics to improve automation systems
  • Manage virtual infrastructure, including deploying and monitoring VMs

OPMs client is a AAA developer, with studios in three beautiful cities who are looking for a talented Animation Tools Programmer to join their team developing a new unique unannounced multiplayer project.

The successful candidates will help lay the foundation and expand the motion matching capabilities, increase the efficiency in using animation utilising their award-winning in-house engine.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional tools programming experience on AAA titles
  • Strong C# skills
  • Good knowledge of core C++
  • Good knowledge and provable experience developing UIs
  • Good mathematics, especially in linear algebra ability
  • Excellent English language skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the animation programmers implementing the runtime part of the system to develop the WYSIWIG editing/debugging tools (in C#) that will be used by animators and content creators to achieve their creative vision.

REQUIREMENTS:

Our client is now looking for a Lead Programmer to work with them in their beautiful Malmo based Studio.

As a Lead Programmer on this project, you will run a talented, multi-discipline, multi-location programming team and be responsible for maintaining, developing and improving many aspects of the game and core engine technology. This is a live product, so part of your responsibility is to make sure the releases are well prepared and operational when they release them on multiple target platforms.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive and professional relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of C++.
  • Experience programming with recent generation PC, Xbox and PlayStation APIs.
  • Experience with a range of tools and pipelines used in modern game development.
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, able to work independently.
  • The ability and desire to work in a team, including different disciplines.
  • Experience guiding/mentoring junior developers.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.     

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with all disciplines, know when to say no and be comfortable making quick decisions, sometimes with incomplete information.
  • Make sure the releases are well prepared and operational when we release them on multiple target platforms. 
  • Run a talented, multi-discipline, multi-location programming team and be responsible for maintaining, developing and improving many aspects of the game and core engine technology. 
  • Work on system development, updating existing systems and workflows, profiling and optimization, supporting the link between the project and their central technology and many more.

BONUS SKILLS (Good to have)

  • Past team leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD workflows.
  • In-depth knowledge of game engine architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of current generation console architectures and future architectural trends.

Our client is now looking for a Gameplay Programmer to work with them in their beautiful Malmo based Studio.

As a gameplay programmer on this project you will work with their designers to conceive of and implement elements of scripted and immersive open world content and activities. You will develop and maintain the features and systems necessary for designers to create missions, build complex gameplay mechanics and tweak and balance the game.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good knowledge of C++
  • At least 3 years of Industry Experience
  • A keen sense of fun gameplay
  • Knowledge of gameplay code
  • Familiarity with AI, physics, and animation in general
  • Strong math skills
  • At least one shipped AA/AAA title for current or last-generation consoles
  • Strong communication & verbal skills in English

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Your work will take you all over their proprietary open world engine, from underlying systems to specific gameplay mechanics, from animation systems to UI, from physics to VFX.
  • Work closely with an array of disciplines, and you will often act as the glue pulling these different elements together.
  • Work with their designers and other gameplay programmers to expand the game with new gameplay features, as well as support and improve existing features
  • Develop and maintain the systems necessary for designers to create missions, build complex gameplay mechanics and tweak and balance the game.
BONUS SKILLS (Good to have)
  • Experience with Havok Physics, Animation, and AI
  • Experience with game design processes
  • Experience with developing tools and asset pipelines
