Our Process
LEARN ABOUT HOW WE WORK.
A process unique to One Player Mission ensures that our ethics, morals, and the quality of service remain consistent throughout the company.

ONE PLAYER MISSION
OUR STEPS TO SUCCESS
One Player Mission has its very own unique process that all consultants follow with all vacancies and applications. Appropriately named our Steps to Success, it is the framework that keeps our service consistent and provides the value our customers need from us. The team is retrained every six months and the process evolves to meet the needs of the market today.
Every step in the process considers what is best for the employer and the potential employee, this way we can confidently create the perfect match for both parties.
MAKE YOUR MISSION, OUR MISSION
JUST HOW WE WORK AND WHAT MAKES US STAND OUT COMPARED TO OTHER RECRUITMENT AGENCIES.
Each vacancy we take on is advertised on our website and a range of relevant job boards. Successful applicants will go onto our database that contains over 18,000 games industry experienced people, registered since we began in 1998! As well as job boards, we have a team of Consultants and Talent Acquisition specialists working full-time on professional networking sites to reach out to experienced professionals for each individual job opening.
We interview every job seeker we work with and will send only top matches once we have the candidate’s permission to submit their details to the company. We will liaise between the company and the candidates throughout the process until they are placed, and for a couple of weeks after the start date.
The recruitment sector has a reputation for shady tactics and unethical behaviour, which is sadly too frequently well deserved. For 25 years, we’ve put in a lot of effort to eradicate that stigma in games industry recruitment.
Our success at One Player Mission is based on creating long-lasting connections with both our candidates and clients. We don’t spend our time making obnoxious sales calls, crafting pretentious mission statements, or trying to re-invent the wheel. We just put in a lot of effort to deliver the right people for the right opportunities, at the right time.

ACCOUNTABILITY IS KEY

EXPLORE COMMON ASKED QUESTIONS
We get asked a lot of questions here at One Player Mission, so we’ve taken some of the most popular ones and broken them down
What type of jobs in the games industry do you work on?
We cover every job category in the video games industry, from Junior Marketing Analysts to Art Directors. Each discipline is covered by an individual expert, so the Commercial Consultant deals with marketing jobs, the Design Consultant handles level design applications, etc.
I’m looking for staff, how much will it cost to use One Player Mission for help?
The cost will really depend on the role being filled, as we charge an agreed percentage of the candidate’s annual salary. One of the major benefits by doing it this way is that it costs you absolutely nothing until we’re successful.
What happens if the job and the candidate are not the right fit?
Unfortunately, we can’t get things perfect every time, in cases where the application is unsuccessful constructive feedback will be given to the candidate or the client and we’ll go back to the drawing board for both parties.
How long will the process take?
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) reports that the typical hiring process takes 42 days. It’s important to keep in mind that this will likely vary depending on the location and the seniority of the position. We’ve experienced processes that have only lasted a day or two, and others where visa applications have made the process last up to six months.
